GIU Observes International Day of Solidarity with Palestine

Green International University observed the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on 29th November, in accordance with UN Resolution 32/40 B. This day serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggles faced by the Palestinian people during one of the darkest chapters in their history.

The event began with a one-minute silence at the GIU campus, attended by university staff, students, and administration, to express solidarity and prayers for peace in Palestine. Students paid tribute by placing their hands on their hearts, showing respect for both the national anthems of Palestine and Pakistan.

The ceremony was further dignified by Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gilani, Rector GIU, along with other esteemed personalities, reinforcing GIU’s commitment to global awareness, empathy, and solidarity with oppressed communities around the world.
